Just as with any other form of cancer, early detection is the key to successfully treating oral cancer. Oral cancer screening allows our dentists to detect oral cancer before symptoms develop. Once symptoms begin to develop the cancer has often already begun to spread. By detecting oral cancer in its earliest stages, before it has had a chance to spread, we increase the potential of successfully treating it.
